The 1929 Pontiac Cabriolet has a top which folds down with roll down windows and a rumble seat. Approximately 120,000 of these “New Big Sixes” were made in 1929, including all body styles.

The Pontiac brand was debuted at the 1926 New York Automobile Show. 76,696 units were sold, beating the Chrysler first year record from 1924. All of the Pontiac’s sold were closed models. The coupe or the coach model could be purchased for $825.

A roadster and cabriolet were added for 1927. That same year the 100,000th Pontiac was produced. The company would reach 500,000 units in 1929. Of the GM brands, Pontiac was hit the hardest by the Great Depression.
